SUMMER NAMES

Apparently Jill Kearney didn’t read Marge Piercy’s “Summer People” very closely (Book Review, July 30): She twice calls a major character “Dinah Nathan” when the character’s name is “Dinah Alder” (“Nathan” is her father’s first name). No wonder Kearney says this is “a novel that yields more in summary than it does in the telling.” I, on the other hand, have read the novel carefully and found it well worth the time.
