Donald G. Fisher, chairman and chief executive of Gap Inc., announced that the company would move senior executives and about 300 of its headquarters staff this fall to One Harrison St. in San Francisco from San Bruno . . . International Business Machines said its scientists have demonstrated computer chips that can transmit data at a billion bits a second . . . CBJ Inc., which owns the Los Angeles Business Journal and San Diego Business Journal, said it agreed to buy the Orange County Business Journal. Terms were not disclosed . . . Freedom Newspapers Inc. in Irvine, holding company for the Orange County Register and 28 smaller dailies, has agreed to sell two small Midwestern papers to a Nebraska publishing firm.
