Countywide : State GOP Convention to Be Held in Anaheim

Gov. George Deukmejian, U.S. Sen. Pete Wilson (R-Calif.) and House Republican Whip Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) will be keynote speakers at the state Republican Party’s annual convention Sept. 8 through 10 at the Anaheim Hilton and Towers, 777 Convention Way.
Deukmejian will greet conventioneers at Saturday morning’s opening session, while Wilson will be the Saturday luncheon speaker. Gingrich will deliver his address at the banquet on Saturday night.
On the convention agenda are such matters as redistricting reform, volunteerism and get-out-the-vote efforts.
