Commercial Scene : IDM Corp. to Develop $250-Million Project

Long Beach-based IDM Corp. has signed an agreement to develop a $250-million mixed-use project on land leased from the Riverside Community College District.
Known as La Sierra, the project will be built over an eight- to 10-year period on 119 acres just off California 91 at the La Sierra Avenue exit in Riverside. A ground breaking is expected within the next 12 months.
Plans call for 200,000 square feet of retail space, five restaurants, a 230-room hotel, college administrative offices and conference center, 261,000 square feet of office space, and about 1,050 apartments.
