Commercial Scene : Work Started on Business Complex in Simi Valley

Construction has begun on the $11-million Sanport Business Centre, a 183,900-square-foot complex in Simi Valley.
The 10-acre project will be composed of five industrial and research-and-development buildings ranging from 26,000 to 86,000 square feet. It is inside the Simi Valley Commerce Center, on Ward Avenue about three blocks south of California 118.
Newport Beach-based Sanport Development is building the facility. Ware & Malcomb Inc. is the architect, Oltmans Construction Co. is general contractor and Grubb & Ellis is exclusive leasing agent.
