Garcia, Rodriguez to Fight in Irvine

George Garcia of Westminster will face Jorge Rodriguez of Bell in the 10-round main event of tonight’s boxing card at the Irvine Marriott.
Garcia, 29, a featherweight, is 26-4-2 with nine knockouts. Rodriguez is 19-12-3 with 11 knockouts. He is replacing Luis Hernandez, who is ill.
In a six-round middleweight fight, John Armijo of Huntington Beach will fight Vince Durham of Los Angeles.
The first fight is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
