Ballet of Los Angeles, the John Clifford-directed company that has yet to dance in Los Angeles, reports that Bolshoi Ballet dancers Alla Khaniashvili-Artyushkina and her husband, Vitali Artyushkin, arrived in Los Angeles on Monday for a yearlong residency with the company. The Bolshoi couple danced with the company on tour last February. A Ballet of Los Angeles spokesman said they are to teach classes at unspecified schools in Southern California while Clifford is in Mexico and Italy, also teach master classes with the company in the fall and dance in Balanchine and Clifford ballets on the company’s third tour next spring.
