A 46-year-old man was killed early Thursday, reportedly when he crossed an intersection against a traffic signal and was struck by a car, said a police spokesman.
Toung Danh of the 4000 block of Marlborough Avenue suffered multiple injuries when he was hit attempting to cross 54th Street at the crosswalk on Redwood Street at 1:55 a.m., said Sgt. Mike Healey. Danh was taken to Mercy Hospital and died at 4 a.m., Healey said.
The driver of the car told officers she was traveling north on 54th Street about 25 m.p.h. when Danh ran in front of her car at the light on Redwood Street.
Healey said the driver was not cited.
