Ashland Reaches Agreement With Iran: Ashland Oil Inc. agreed to pay Iran $325 million to settle a 10-year-old dispute over an oil bill and Iranian breach of contract, the company announced. The Ashland, Ky., company had refused to pay Iran for $283 million in crude oil delivered 10 years ago because of losses that it said it suffered as a result of 1979 breaches of contract by National Iranian Oil Co.
