More Cleaning--Volunteers helped clean the Upper Newport Bay and Bolsa Chica ecological reserves of trash Saturday. This week the cleanups continue at eight Orange County beaches, part of a statewide effort organized by the California Coastal Commission.
Volunteer groups and individuals will gather beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday at the following beaches to help clean up trash left by summer crowds: Crystal Cove, Bolsa Chica, Huntington and Trestles state beaches, Huntington City Beach, and Main Beach and Heisler Park in Laguna Beach.
The cleanings will continue through the day, and volunteers are encouraged to drop in and volunteer.
Events--A nature film and ranger walk will be offered at 1 p.m. today and Saturday at Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange. Parking is $2. Information: (714) 538-4400.
