Roundup : Dana Hills Defeats University in Tennis

Anne Mall, the No. 1 singles player, swept her sets on Tuesday, leading visiting Dana Hills (4-0) to a 14-4 nonleague tennis victory over University (5-1).
Mall, ranked 37th nationally in the 18-and-under division, defeated University’s Jeannette Fylpaa, 6-2. It was Fylpaa’s first loss of the season and only setback of the day.
Fylpaa (17-1) was the only player to win a game against Mall.
In Garden Grove League tennis:
La Quinta 14, Pacifica 4--Top player An Pham swept 6-1, 6-4, 6-0, for host La Quinta (1-2, 1-0).
In nonleague tennis:
Edison 10, Estancia 8--Edison’s top singles player, Kristen Flemming, won her sets, 1-6, 6-0, 6-0.
Katella 14, Fullerton 4--No. 1 singles Linn Vonusa led host Katella (6-1) by winning her match 6-3, 6-0, 6-1.
Mission Viejo 15, Trabuco Hills 3--Eleyce Holroyd won her sets, 6-2, 6-0, 6-1 and the three Mission Viejo (5-1) doubles teams swept to defeat host Trabuco Hills (2-2).
Rolling Hills 11, Marina 7--Tracy Crisell swept her singles matches, 7-2, 6-1, 6-0, for host Marina (2-2).
Rosary 14, Connelly 4--No. 2 singles player Joyce Cruz swept her matches, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, for host Rosary (3-0).
Western 10, Cypress 8--Hollie Diplock swept her sets, 6-2, 6-4, 6-1 to lead Western (4-0).
In Garden Grove League volleyball:
La Quinta 3, Pacifica 0--Nicole Huss had six kills, leading visiting La Quinta (2-1, 1-0), 15-7, 15-4, 15-9.
In nonleague volleyball:
Calvary Chapel 3, Bethel Christian 1--Jenny Hoffman had 15 kills to lead host Calvary Chapel (2-0), 15-6, 6-15, 15-11, 15-4, in Tustin.
El Dorado 3, Diamond Bar 1--Vicky Burke had 15 kills and two blocks to lead El Dorado, 15-11, 15-8, 9-15, 15-8, over visiting Diamond Bar.
El Modena 3, Troy 1--Marni Hichborn had 12 kills and eight blocks to spark host El Modena, 11-15, 15-9, 15-4, 15-9.
El Toro 3, Laguna Hills 0--Kerry Knopf had 12 kills to lead El Toro (3-0) over visiting Laguna Hills (0-3), 15-0, 15-4, 15-0.
Liberty Christian 3, Southern California Christian 1--Junior Lisa Gray had 12 aces and four kills, leading visiting Liberty Christian (1-2), 15-4, 4-15, 15-5, 15-10.
Irvine 3, Mater Dei 1--Stephanie Chiang served 14 consecutive points in the last game of Irvine’s victory, 15-12, 10-15, 15-2, 15-0.
Ocean View 3, Magnolia 1--Senior outside hitter Christy Campbell sparked Ocean View (3-0) over host Magnolia (3-1), 15-5, 15-6, 12-15, 15-9.
Orange 3, Santa Ana 0--Laurie Sallinger had nine kills and three aces in leading visiting Orange (2-2), 15-2, 15-3, 15-2.
In Del Rey League water polo:
Mater Dei 25, St. Francis 2--Bob Gallucci had six goals to spark Mater Dei.
In nonleague water polo:
Buena Park 8, Long Beach Poly 5--Kelly Scarrar scored four goals for visiting Buena Park (1-1).
Foothill 21, San Clemente 11--Zach Holder and Jason Salata each scored five goals for host Foothill (1-1).
Irvine 15, Cypress 3--Senior Greg Tonkovich scored five goals to lead host Irvine (4-0) over Cypress (0-2).
Trabuco Hills 18, Katella 9--Bill Linas scored 11 goals for the second consecutive game to lead Trabuco Hills at Laguna Hills High School.
