Construction began in August on this 11-story office tower in the southwestern sector of Koll Center Irvine. It will duplicate the look of the adjacent Transamerica Building, which was completed four years ago. The 234,500-square-foot building is a joint venture of the Koll Co. and the Zenitaka Corp. of Osaka, Japan, which acquired joint-venture rights from Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Cos. Completion of the building is scheduled for next year.
