Crescenta Valley 21, Burbank 10--Crescenta Valley’s Ernie Diaz picked off the first pass from Burbank quarterback Jeremy Sparks, and Crescenta Valley quarterback Ryan Kadletz threw a six-yard touchdown pass to Shane Cowsill to start the victory at Glendale High.

Kadletz completed eight of 11 passes for 86 yards and also scored on a three-yard run in the third quarter to give the Falcons a 21-3 lead. Colby Bogust’s 30-yard jaunt had given Crescenta Valley (2-1) a 14-3 lead in the second quarter.
