Roundup : Chapman Women Win in Volleyball

Sophomore Debra Waller had 10 kills to lead Chapman College to a 15-6, 15-4, 15-12 volleyball victory over visiting Cal State Bakersfield Friday.
Chapman was ranked 20th and Bakersfield 10th among Division II teams before the match.
In Big West Conference women’s volleyball:
UC Santa Barbara 3, UC Irvine 1--In the Big West opener for both teams, visiting UC Santa Barbara won, 15-8, 15-13, 15-11. Ali Wood had 14 kills for Irvine, which dropped to 8-3 overall. Santa Barbara is 10-4.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Cal State Fullerton 4, Loyola Marymount 0--Rick Biedler scored the final goal for host Cal State Fullerton (5-1). The Titan shutout was led by goalie Roger Wadell.
