U.S. Commitment to Israel

Bardin’s people have not “gone insane.”
Unlike Bardin, they see that “moderates” do not rule in any of the 21 Arab countries--no democracies, only despots, near-despots or anarchy (Lebanon).
They see that behind the so-called “moderates” is a PLO ready to “pump” “10 bullets in the chest” of any Palestinian questioning the so-called intifada , and surrounding them, nations armed to the teeth with multiple times the weapons and quality of weapons, mobilized troops and reserves available to the Israelis, able to employ, and ready to employ, chemical and bacteriological weapons carried by missiles.
They also know that neither Bardin nor any of the “moderates” could publicly dissent from Arab extremism, in any Arab country--but only in Israel, or in the United States, as in The Times.
For terms such as “self-determination,” “peace,” “civil rights”--useful to the Arabs and to such as Bardin wooing those of the West steeped in Judeo-Christian ethics--have no reality in Arab countries, serving only as metaphors for an absolute rule that could not be declared as such.
