Yields on Treasury Notes Rise: Yields on two-year Treasury notes rose to the highest level since May. The average yield was 8.39%, up from 8.37% at the last auction Aug. 22. It was the highest rate since two-year notes averaged 8.84% on May 25. The notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 8.38%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,997.30. A total of $9.75 billion in notes were sold out of bids totaling $26.8 billion.
