Tony Clark Remains Ineligible

San Diego Section Commissioner Kendall Webb announced Wednesday that he has denied a waiver request that would have allowed Christian High School’s Tony Clark to play basketball this year.
Christian Principal Ed Giles requested last week that Clark, a transfer from Valhalla, be granted a waiver of the one-year transfer penalty.
Webb said that under the rules governing the athletic eligibility of transfers from one section school to another, “the conditions have not existed and do not presently exist that would justify a transfer.”
Under section rules, Christian could appeal Webb’s decision to the section board of managers.
