Loyola Women Spikers Win a Game

SAN FRANCISCO — Loyola Marymount broke into the win column and got off to a good start in West Coast Conference play as the Lions defeated the University of San Francisco here Thursday, 16-14, 17-15, 15-13. It was the league opener for each school. For the Lions, who hadn’t won a game this season, it was the first victory in nine matches. USF fell to 0-6 overall.
Loyola plays another WCC match tonight at Santa Clara.
