Cypress Rolls Past Magnolia, 22-0

Cypress High School scored 15 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 22-0 victory over winless Magnolia Thursday night in Handel Stadium.
The Centurions took a 7-0 lead with five minutes remaining in the half on a four-yard run by Brian Dawson. Cypress did not score again until two plays into the fourth quarter on a three-yard run by Sundance Smith.
Cypress increased its lead with 7:31 to play when Richard Parsons blocked a punt by Scott Crawford, and the ball bounced out of the end zone for a safety.
After the Centurions (2-3) took over on an interception, Sean Dangaran sprinted 60 yards for a touchdown with 41 seconds to play.
Magnolia (0-5) was held to 80 yards total offense. Sentinel quarterback Elliot Parker completed just two of 18 passes for 32 yards with two interceptions.
