Cabrillo 40, Calabasas 6--Cabrillo tailback Don Lindsey scored four touchdowns and gained 106 yards in 15 carries to lead the Conquistadores at Huyck Stadium in Lompoc. Lindsey scored on runs of 11, nine, one and two yards.
Cabrillo quarterback Rob Cardenas completed all six of his first-half passes for 111 yards, including a 65-yard bomb to wide receiver Rick Harris, giving Cabrillo (2-3) a 14-0 first-quarter lead.
Calabasas (0-5) retaliated with a score on its next possession, marching 80 yards in 11 plays. Quarterback Ronnie Adleman capped the drive with a 19-yard pass to Jonathan Manuel, who finished with six receptions for 100 yards.
