Colorado’s football team received two first-place votes in the latest Associated Press poll and drew closer to No. 2 Miami and top-ranked Notre Dame. All three teams are 5-0.
Notre Dame received 54 first-place votes from a nationwide panel of sports writers and broadcasters.
Nebraska, which improved to 5-0 with a 58-7 victory over Kansas State, was fourth. The Cornhuskers are followed by Michigan, 3-1; Tennessee, 5-0; Arkansas, 4-0; Houston, 4-0; Pittsburgh, 4-0-1, and USC, 4-1.
