Pianist Olivia Herman, a sophomore at University High School in Irvine, has been selected to play her original composition, a grand waltz entitled “At the Ballet” in the 1989 Yamaha Junior Original Concert at the USC-Bovard Auditorium in Los Angeles Nov. 12. The concert also will feature original compositions by seven Los Angeles-area high schoolers and three from Japan.
