ETHICS AND POLITICS: The California Republican Party won’t push for an ethics review of Democratic Sen. Alan Cranston, who received contributions from Charles Keating, former operator of insolvent Irvine-based Lincoln Savings & Loan . . . The Ohio GOP isn’t being so charitable to its Democratic senator, John Glenn, asking the Senate Ethics Committee to look into the Keating-Glenn connection. A California GOP spokesman said the matter “would be much more on our minds if Cranston (B3) were on the ballot in 1990.”
