LA HABRA — Police and fire stations in La Habra will hold open houses Saturday.

The fire station’s programs will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include extinguishing live fires, rappelling, the use of a hydraulic prying device to rescue a victim from a simulated auto accident, and a fire prevention film for children.
Firefighters will serve refreshments and provide handouts about smoke detectors, the city’s paramedic subscription program and other fire safety services.
The police station is at 150 N. Euclid St. and will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fire Station No. 2, at 520 S. Harbor Blvd., will welcome visitors between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
