ANAHEIM : Panelists to Develop Child-Care Strategy
- Share via
Representatives of community organizations and local businesses will be getting together in the next few months to talk about ways that child-care services can be improved in the city.
The City Council voted this week to hire a consultant to coordinate a “child care consortium” charged with developing a child-care strategy for Anaheim.
The consultant, National Pediatric Support Services Inc., will organize consortium meetings, develop an informational booklet on child-care options, help employers with child-care assessments and write the consortium’s child-care plan.
The plan is scheduled to be completed in about four months. A $20,600 grant from the state Department of Education is paying for the program.
