Racing at Bay Meadows Is Postponed Until Structural Damage Can Be Determined

Thoroughbred racing at Bay Meadows was postponed Wednesday and today until engineers at the track on the San Francisco Peninsula can determine the amount of structural damage caused by Tuesday’s earthquake.
Bay Meadows, which is located in San Mateo, a few miles south of San Francisco International Airport, doesn’t race on Tuesdays. Structural damage to the track’s grandstand is believed to be minor, a spokesman at the track said.
