Competition Opens for ‘Miss Chinatown 1990’

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce is seeking single women of Chinese ancestry between the ages of 18 and 24 to compete for the title of “Miss Los Angeles Chinatown 1990.” Applicants must be residents of Los Angeles County.
The winner will reign over Chinese New Year festivities and will receive prizes, including a $2,000 scholarship and a trip to the Orient. Applications are available through Nov. 1 at the Chamber of Commerce office, 978 N. Broadway, and at all Cathay Bank branches. Information: (213) 617-0396.
