Japanese Investing in U.S. Mortgages: Japanese investors have pumped an additional $701 million into the U.S. mortgage market through two new mutual funds that invest primarily in Fannie Mae mortgage-backed securities, Federal National Mortgage Assn., or Fannie Mae, said in a statement.
