Mike Cowdrey of Trabuco Hills won the individual title and Laguna Beach won the boys’ team title in the Pacific Coast League championships at Laguna Hills High School.
Cowdrey ran 15:36 on the three-mile course. Laguna Beach had 39 points. Woodbridge was second with 56 points and Orange was third with 67.
Kathi Peck of Woodbridge ran an 18:40 to win the girls’ race and help Woodbridge to the girls’ team title with 32 points.
In the Sunset League girls’ tennis championships:
Tracy Crisell of Marina defeated Michelle Berkowitz of Fountain Valley, 6-1, 6-2, to win the singles final at Lindborg Racquet Club in Huntington Beach.
In doubles, Nikki Turner and Laura Olson of Edison defeated Katie Beard and Lynne Thiel of Edison, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1.
In South Coast League girls’ tennis:
Mission Viejo 10, El Toro 8--Eleyce Holroyd swept her sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3, and Dori Lee swept, 6-0, 6-4, 6-1, as Mission Vieo (12-8) won the third-place tiebreaker at Capistrano Valley High School to qualify for the Southern Section playoffs.
