Yutaro Hayashi, who was president and chief executive of Mitsui Manufacturers, will become chairman and chief executive of Mitsui.
Before joining Mitsui Manufacturers, Johnston was executive vice president of Security Pacific; president of Sequor Group, responsible for treasury management and international banking services, and chairman of Security Pacific International Bank. He previously was chief administrative officer of the Merchant Banking Group.
