Family Planning Clinics Closed
Help from a Los Angeles County family planning clinic was instrumental in insuring the safe delivery of my newborn son and my wife’s health through the pregnancy and childbirth. We were lucky to have had our child before the governor’s unjustified budget slash which will now close 13 such clinics in Los Angeles.
If his only justifications are abortions and a continued rise in the rate of teen-age pregnancy, the governor knows little about these clinics and cares even less about the health of low-income Californians--of whom there are many. His was an uninformed decision without practical or moral grounds--in effect an act of stupidity and cruelty and a major disservice to those he is supposed to serve.
