Kudos to KCRW: There are some new trophies adorning desks at KCRW. The Santa Monica College-based radio station (89.9 FM) was named best non-commercial radio station at the CMJ New Music Awards in New York, topping the list in the more than 5,000 ballots cast by College Media Journal (CMJ) subscribers, music industry leaders and music journalists nationwide. And KCRW’s general manager, Ruth Hirschman, has been honored for “distinguished achievement in communications” by Women in Business.
