From Times Staff and Wire Reports
No more than 75 striking lettuce workers can simultaneously picket a cooling shed owned by Bud of California in the Fresno County community of Huron, a judge has ruled. The restraining order issued by Superior Court Judge Marion Olmos also permits only six of the pickets within 20 feet of the entrance to the shed. About 3,000 lettuce workers in California and Arizona went on strike Oct. 26 after the company rejected their demands for a 39-cent-an-hour pay increase and overtime pay after working an eight-hour shift.
