Church Plans Series on AIDS Education

OMAHA — The United Church of Christ will hire a full-time staff member to coordinate its AIDS ministry and launch in 1990 a series of educational projects on the disease.
The Rev. Charles Shelby Rooks called the church’s commitment to AIDS ministry “an act of justice . . . and an act of compassion to the sick.”
