Man Found Dead in Desert Near Palmdale

Sheriff’s detectives were investigating the apparent homicide of a man whose nude body was found Saturday in the desert near Palmdale, authorities said.
The body was discovered by a passer-by about 12:15 p.m. near the intersection of Tierra Subida Avenue and Avenue S, Deputy Patrick Hunter of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Investigators have been unable to determine the cause of death, the identity or race of the victim or how long the body had been there.
Hunter said an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death, and detectives were seeking information from the public concerning the slaying.
