Hall of Fame Funds Pledged: A nightclub and restaurant developer has come to the aid of Cleveland’s proposed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Jeffrey Jacobs, owner and developer of the Nautica entertainment and restaurant complex near the proposed site of the rock music shrine, has pledged to contribute as much money as needed to ensure that the Hall of Fame reaches its $40 million fund-raising goal by Wednesday’s deadline. “The last time I talked to the rock hall people, they were saying they are within $500,000 of their goal, so I told them I would commit so that they would get over the top,” Jacobs said. He added that his contribution would come from money raised in concerts at his 4,000-seat Nautica Stage outdoor theater.
