Desormeaux Runs Win Total to 542

LAUREL, Md. — Silano won the 15th running of the $60,000 Challedon Handicap Friday at Laurel Race Course and furnished jockey Kent Desormeaux with his 542nd winner of the year.
Desormeaux, who is closing in on Chris McCarron’s world record of 546 winners established in 1974, won two races Friday.
