Sports Attorney Named Mayor’s Legal Counsel

Jane Ellison, an attorney who specializes in sports law, has been named legal counsel to Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, the mayor’s office announced Monday.
Ellison, 33, a graduate of University of Chicago Law School, fills the position vacated by Mark Fabiani, who was promoted to deputy mayor last week. She is expected to start Jan. 1.
Ellison is a partner in the Los Angeles law firm of Armato, Gaims, Weil, West & Epstein. She also worked for the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, the America’s Cup Foundation and the United States Football League.
