LONDON — The British Broadcasting Corp. will train Polish broadcasters in Western radio and television techniques as part of Britain’s $80-million aid package, it was announced Wednesday.
“It’s difficult to believe that it was as recently as 1987 that deliberate interference with our Polish broadcasts ceased,” said John Tusa, the BBC’s World Service managing director.
Thirty-six broadcasters, chosen by Polish Radio and Television, will begin six-week training programs starting in February, Tusa said.
