Dispute Ends With Man Shot in Head

SANTA ANA — Police are investigating the attempted murder of a 22-year-old man shot after an argument with friends early Saturday morning at a home in the 2100 block of West 7th Street.
Robert Powell of Orange was shot once in the back of the head with a handgun, police said. He was airlifted to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center about 5 a.m. and was listed in critical condition Saturday night.
Police said three men fled the scene after the shooting. They have no suspects.
