Four-Year Note Yields Fall: Yields on four-year Treasury notes fell at auction to the lowest level since March, 1987. The average yield was 7.65%, down from 8.35% at the last auction Oct. 2. The $10,000 notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 7.63%. A total of $8.05 billion in notes was sold out of bids totaling $28.03 billion.
