EC to Eliminate Soybean Subsidies: The European Community has agreed to pass legislation before the end of next year that would eliminate subsidies on soybeans, according to U.S. Trade Representative Carla A. Hills, who has just returned to Washington from meetings in Brussels. The EC has accepted the findings of a panel of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.
