Reader Makes a Case for Feats of Triathletes

In Randy Harvey’s World Sports Scene column, he lists as one of a dozen outstanding performances: “Tiina Lillak, Finland, 1983 World Championships of track and field--On her final throw in the last event at Helsinki, Finland, she gave the host country its only gold.”
I’ll bet not one reader in 100 knows what she threw. This ranks ahead of Dave Scott winning the Ironman six times? Give me (and other triathletes) a break!
