Granddaughter of Eisenhower Will Wed Soviet

WASHINGTON — Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, will marry the prominent Soviet space scientist Roald Sagdeev in February, it was announced Friday.
A member of the Congress of People’s Deputies, Sagdeev is a former adviser to Soviet President Mikhail S. Gorbachev and was a close friend of the late Andrei Sakharov. He heads the theory division of the Space Research Institute.
The couple, who have five children between them from former marriages, plan to maintain homes in both Moscow and Washington.
