California IN BRIEF : FRESNO : Expense Accounts Questioned

Nine Fresno County Elections division employees are suspected of overbilling the county more than $1,600 in questionable travel expenses, according to a report by the county auditor. “The questionable expenses include excessive mileage claimed, meals claimed for what appears to be earlier-than-necessary departure or later-than-necessary return times and unnecessary car rentals,” the report said. The report said that $1,272 of the questionable expenses were paid to Elections Manager Norma Logan, who has been on medical leave.
