Huntington Park : Council Votes Itself a Monthly Pay Raise of $50

The Huntington Park City Council has voted unanimously to raise the salary each councilman receives for the part-time position from $550 to $600 a month. The five councilmen attend at least two meetings a month and represent the city at various civic functions.
Councilmen William P. Cunningham, Thomas E. Jackson, Jack Parks and Jim Roberts own their own businesses in addition to serving on the council. Councilman Herbert A. Hennes Jr. is retired.
