NHL ROUNDUP : MacLellan Helps End Chicago Streak

Brian MacLellan scored four goals and Sergei Makarov scored the winner with eight minutes remaining to give the Calgary Flames a 6-5 victory Sunday night at Chicago.
MacLellan, who had only three goals in 33 previous games, scored the game’s first three goals. He had his fifth career hat trick and his second four-goal game.
Steve Thomas scored three times for Chicago, which had its six-game unbeaten string end. Thomas and Steve Larmer scored 64 seconds apart in the third period, making the score 5-5 at 3:34.
Winnipeg 6, St. Louis 5--Dave McLlwain scored two goals and set up Paul Fenton’s game-winner with 2:04 remaining at Winnipeg.
The Jets won despite three goals by Brett Hull, who has a league-leading total of 41 goals in 45 games.
It was Winnipeg’s fourth consecutive victory and increased the Jets’ unbeaten streak at home to eight games.
New York Rangers 4, Philadelphia 3--Brian Leetch scored at 1:16 of overtime to give the Rangers their 1,000th home victory.
Leetch’s shot through a screen from the left point beat Ken Wregget and capped a three-goal Ranger comeback. It was the first time in 18 games that the Rangers won after trailing in the third period. They had been 0-15-2.
