NCNB Corp.: The Charlotte, N.C.-based banking company posted net income for 1989 of $447.1 million, up 77% over 1988. The firm said it completed its acquisition of NCNB Texas four years ahead of schedule and that the unit exceeded its “most ambitious expectations.” It also said its Southwestern bank had a record year.
