NATION IN BRIEF : MASSACHUSETTS : Scholarship Fund Honors Slain Wife

The family of Carol Stuart announced in Boston a scholarship fund in her memory to help residents in the inner-city neighborhood who were put under suspicion after her husband, Charles Stuart, claimed a black man had shot him and his pregnant wife. The DiMaiti family said they want their daughter to be remembered as more than just the victim of a sensational murder. They also said they hope to begin a healing process in Mission Hill, the neighborhood where she was fatally shot Oct. 23.
