I have been master of property at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion since 1964. I watched the “Music Center 25th anniversary” television show Jan. 3, and I must say that I was very disappointed that the show did not give more history of the last 25 years of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Edwin Lester, founder of the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera, produced many new productions, gave Los Angeles audiences the best Broadway productions with the original Broadway stars and produced the most lavish revivals with big-name stars and was not even mentioned.
Lester is musical theater in Los Angeles.
